RJ Shrimpton Wins AMA’s “Cropped” Design Challenge
On November 7th Swanson Russell’s RJ Shrimpton, Associate Art Director, took home top honors at Cropped — the annual design challenge hosted by AMA Lincoln. Inspired by the TV show Chopped, the event tests the skills of five local designers in front of an audience filled with marketing professionals, friends and family.
Each round of the competition presented a new design challenge, forcing competitors to think quickly and creatively. A panel of guest judges evaluated the designs based on brand alignment, thoughtfulness and creativity, “cropping” one designer after each round.
This year’s featured organization was Life Resources, a Lincoln-based counseling provider committed to helping individuals, couples and families build stronger relationships, happier home lives and more fulfilling careers. Life Resources offers a caring, supportive environment with licensed therapists dedicated to helping clients overcome personal and professional barriers.
“The live competition was an intense experience, but I’m proud to help out a local organization — and represent Swanson Russell in such a memorable way,” Shrimpton shared. “It was definitely a night I’ll never forget!”
Shrimpton’s thoughtful and creative approach to the challenge earned him first place along with a grand prize of $1,000.
