Swanson Russell interactive designer Amanda Olson has been named 2016 American Advertising Federation Omaha Ad Rookie of the Year.
Olson co-chaired AAF Omaha’s 54th annual Meet the Pros student conference in 2015 after having served on the 2013 and 2014 committees. Olson also served on the AAF Omaha Board of Directors for the 2014-2015 year. Olson holds a bachelor’s degree in visual communication and design from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and was a 2011 AAF scholarship recipient.
“With all her talent and dedication, it was only a matter of time before Amanda was recognized in the industry,” said Brian Boesche, partner and chief creative officer at Swanson Russell. “Amanda gives 110 percent in everything she does, and it always shows in her work.”
The Ad Rookie of the Year award is given to an AAF Omaha member with five or fewer years of experience in advertising who demonstrates extraordinary work within the professional world and Omaha community.
