Swanson Russell Wins AIGA Design Awards
Lincoln, Neb. (Dec. 5, 2008) - Swanson Russell received eight awards at the recent American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Nebraska Chapter awards banquet, including one of only four gold medals.
AIGA awards are given for excellence in graphic design. The professional association for communication design, AIGA is a non-profit organization for the exchange of ideas and information, critical analysis and research, and advance education and ethical practice of design. AIGA represents more than 22,000 communication design professionals, educators and students through national and local programs.
AIGA's Nebraska Chapter awards were presented Nov. 7 at Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, Neb.
Swanson Russell's design of the Doctors of USC (University of Southern California, www.doctorsofusc.com) Web site received the gold medal.
Silver medal recipients: banner for Compact Power Equipment (www.cpiequipment.com), Bank of You micro Web site (www.ubt.com) for Union Bank and the MX micro Web site (www.leupoldmx.com) for Leupold & Stevens.
Bronze medals were won for the IUOW (Intelligent Use of Water) Film micro Web site for Rain Bird (www.rainbird.com), Corn Head Road Race poster for the Nebraska Road Race (www.nebraskacyclingnews.com), Catch of the Day Getaway for Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health (www.intervet.com), and Swanson Russell bowling shirts.
