Swanson Russell Promotes Trautner, Hires Geery-Zink and Williams in PR Department
LINCOLN, Neb., (July 2, 2008) - Swanson Russell has promoted Cris Trautner and hired Stephanie Geery–Zink and Joan Williams in the Lincoln office’s public relations department.
Trautner has been promoted to media tracking coordinator. Hired in 2001, she previously served as media tracking specialist. Her duties include managing the media tracking team, and researching and evaluating media tracking trends and technologies. In addition, she works on several client accounts, researching and reporting on publicity results and providing analysis. Trautner continues as vice president of Infusionmedia Publishing Inc. in Lincoln and production editor of the Prairie Fire newspaper. She is a board member of the Friends of Loren Eiseley Society.
Geery–Zink works as a public relations writer. She is responsible for writing a variety of public relations materials, including news releases and articles. A freelance journalist for the past six years, she was previously a staff writer for the Beatrice Daily Sun and the Daily Reporter in Derby, Kan. Geery–Zink has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and anthropology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She serves as president of Nebraska Press Women and is a member of the National Federation of Press Women.
Williams, a public relations counsel, consults with clients to develop plans and strategies, handles media relations and writes a variety of materials. Her account assignments include Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power, PROFILE Products LLC and Turfco. Williams previously worked in marketing for the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Gaylord Entertainment, and the Lane Motor Museum, all in Nashville, Tenn. She served on the boards of the Nashville Attractions Coalition and Nashville Tourism and Travel Professionals, and is a Certified Tennessee Tourism Professional. A Lincoln native, Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is a graduate of the Tennessee Government Executive Institute.
