SRA’s Public Relations Department Grows
LINCOLN, Neb. (September 2007) - Swanson Russell Associates’ (SRA) public relations department has expanded with the promotion of Jennifer Windrum and the addition of Laura Liggett and Lynette Petersen.
Windrum and Liggett are located in SRA’s Omaha office. Petersen works in the Lincoln, Neb., office.
Formerly public relations counsel, Windrum was promoted to public relations manager. In addition to managing Omaha’s public relations staff, she is responsible for developing, planning and executing clients’ public relations programs.
Windrum previously worked at an advertising agency in Omaha as a public relations senior account executive and was press secretary and communications director for former Omaha Mayor Hal Daub. She also worked as a reporter for Omaha’s KMTV Channel 3 news. Windrum graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music and earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Liggett joins SRA as a public relations associate and facilitates media relations and publicity for various clients. Her client assignments include Physicians Mutual, Creighton University Medical Center, Schering-Plough Animal Health and Sergeant’s Pet Care Products, Inc. Liggett previously worked in public relations at the Omaha Home for Boys and was a reporter for Omaha’s KETV Channel 7 news. Originally from Lincoln, she graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish.
Petersen is a public relations counsel responsible for creating, managing and executing public relations programs for clients in the horticulture industry. Before coming to SRA, she worked as a senior marketing specialist at Lincoln publishing company iUniverse and was director of communications for the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. She also worked for Experian as a client services specialist.
Petersen is from Talmage, Neb., and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a member of the Advertising Federation of Lincoln, PRSA and the Turf and Ornamental Communicator’s Association.
