2012 Best of NAMA Awards

Jill Heggen, Public Relations Associate

NAMA 2012 AGRI-MARKETING CONFERENCEA group of six from our Omaha office traveled to Kansas City in mid-April for the 2012 Agri-Marketing Conference and Trade Show in Kansas City hosted by the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). A process that began in October 2011, the NAMA Awards eventually received over 1,200 entries from six regions, including a number of entries from Swanson Russell. In January, we were notified that we had won five first place awards and four merit awards, making us eligible to advance to the national competition.

On April 18, it was announced that we received a Best of NAMA Award for our Overall Public Relations Campaign – Directed to Rural Lifestyle Audience for Land O’Lakes Purina Feed. A campaign for Purina’s 60-day See the Difference Challenge was created to educate new, potential and loyal feed customers on the full range of Purina feed products across all species groups, including horses, rabbits, show animals, chickens and cattle.

Swanson Russell received the following Merit Award:

  • Global Animal Management, Less-than-page Ads – Series

We were also named National Finalists for the following clients in the following categories:

  • FMC Corporation, Company & Association Newsletters – External to Farmers, Growers & Ranchers
  • FMC Corporation, Direct Mail – Directed to Dealers, Distributors & Sales Reps – Flat
  • FMC Corporation, Multi-Media Campaigns – Local
  • Global Animal Management, Direct Mail – Directed to Dealers, Distributors & Sales Reps – Flat
  • Land O’Lakes Purina Feed, Overall Public Relations Campaign – Directed to Rural Lifestyle Audience

Because agriculture is one of our areas of focus in the Omaha office, it was a great opportunity to see the work being done by our peers in this industry. Congrats to all the winners!
